From Survivor to Entrepreneur: Olivia’s Story
Olivia*, 54, fled an abusive relationship with only her phone, passport, and dog. While facing ongoing court proceedings against her ex-partner, she started her own cleaning business and joined Arise Foundation's Employment Ready Program. Balancing work and study, Olivia attended sessions between cleaning jobs, showing incredible determination to rebuild her life.

Yes, Arise Foundation is a registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible in Australia.

We walk alongside women who are in the process of rebuilding their lives after being impacted by domestic and family violence. Many are single mothers, women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and those navigating significant barriers to employment.
Our programs are inclusive, respectful, and grounded in trauma-informed practice, supporting each woman in a holistic way—emotionally, socially and practically—to ensure she feels seen, supported, and empowered throughout her journey.

All Arise programs are completely free of charge to participants, thanks to the generous support of our donors, philanthropic partners and funders. We believe cost should never be a barrier to safety, growth, or independence.
