Frequently Asked Questions

Do clients have to complete the ERP program, or can they go straight to Employment Coaching?

Completion of the Employment Ready Program (ERP) is a pre-requisite for accessing Employment Coaching. The ERP builds the foundational skills and confidence needed to get the most out of personalised coaching. It ensures each woman is well-prepared and supported before transitioning into job search and employment planning.

How long is the ERP Program?

The Employment Ready Program runs over 8 weeks, with flexible delivery to accommodate individual circumstances. It includes three core modules: Empowerment & Wellbeing, Foundational Work Skills, and Financial Literacy.

Are the programs face-to-face or online?

Arise programs are delivered online, making them accessible to women across different regions. Participants receive one-on-one support and attend group sessions via secure virtual platforms. In-person events or coaching may be offered where appropriate and available.

Are the programs only for NSW?

While Arise Foundation is based in NSW, our programs are accessible Australia-wide through virtual delivery. We welcome referrals from all states and territories, and aim to support women wherever they are on their journey.

What is the cost?

All Arise programs are completely free of charge to participants, thanks to the generous support of our donors, philanthropic partners and funders. We believe cost should never be a barrier to safety, growth, or independence.

How does the client access the Recovery Hub services?

Clients can be referred to the Arise Recovery Hub through a service provider, or they can self-refer via our website. Once connected, each woman is paired with a support coach who works with her to understand her goals and link her to the right services - whether it’s digital literacy, financial coaching, job readiness or wellbeing support.

The Recovery Hub services are only available to our candidates who have enrolled in the ERP program or currently in the program.

What does Arise Foundation do?

Arise Foundation supports and empowers women who have been impacted by domestic and family violence or other forms of trauma, helping them to rebuild their lives through trauma-informed employment readiness programs. We provide tailored support that includes coaching, job skills, digital literacy, and financial wellbeing - helping women achieve long-term stability and independence.

Who do you support?

We work alongside women who are in the process of rebuilding their lives after being impacted by domestic and family violence. Many are single mothers, women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and those navigating significant barriers to employment.

Our programs are inclusive, respectful, and grounded in trauma-informed practice, supporting each woman in a holistic way—emotionally, socially and practically—to ensure she feels seen, supported, and empowered throughout her journey.

How can I support Arise Foundation?

You can support our work by making a donation, hosting a fundraiser, engaging in workplace giving, or becoming a corporate or community partner. Every contribution helps provide women with the tools and pathways to build secure, empowered futures.

Is Arise Foundation a registered charity?

Yes, Arise Foundation is a registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible in Australia.

What makes Arise different from other domestic violence services?

While many services focus on crisis response and short-term support, Arise works at the recovery stage - equipping women with the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to achieve financial independence. We focus on long-term impact through employment and empowerment.

Can I support Arise through workplace giving?

Yes! Arise Foundation is registered on the major workplace giving platforms Good2Give. Employees can make regular, pre-tax donations through their employer. Even $10 a month can provide a participant with the training resources they need to take part in our Employment Ready Program.

Can I support Arise through workplace giving?

We take the safety, dignity and privacy of our participants seriously. All personal information is managed with strict confidentiality, and we never share stories or images without informed, written consent. Our programs are designed to be trauma-informed and culturally safe, with participant wellbeing at the centre of everything we do.
